Mueller HG80 Hinged Knee Brace for Athletes

There are few injuries that can take you out of commission faster or more painfully than a knee injury. As with the back, there are many things that can go wrong. Problems can range from general soreness or discomfort to more serious issues like fractures or dislocations. There are also several key ligaments that help to keep the knees stable, and if any one of them is injured in any way, surgery is often required.

The most common ligament injury is to the anterior cruciate ligament or ACL. This is the ligament that is often torn by professional athletes and can force them to miss an entire season of play. The ACL is the ligament that helps control all forward motion and rotation, and when it is torn or strained, surgery and weeks of physical therapy are often needed.

For obvious reasons, there are few injures as debilitating and disheartening for professional athletes as serious knee injuries. Not only can they put a quick end to their season, but they also sometimes fail to fully recover. That is why many injured athletes are forced to wear knee braces like the Mueller HG80 hinged knee brace .

The Mueller brace is specifically designed for active people who have suffered serious knee injuries and are on the road to recovery. While hinged knee braces do limit motion more than regular braces, they also provide additional support and limit side to side movement. This is particularly important for people who have injured their ACL or LCL (lateral collateral ligament).
